Cinco de Mayo:
Every year the MFDA is proud to help sponsor a community Cinco de Mayo event. This event celebrates different aspects of Mexican culture including: food, dance, music, etc. The event is bilingual and open to the public. There are a plethora of activities for familie members young and old alike! The event includes a pageant and a parade through the community, as well as contests like the salsa contest.
The MFDA hosts this holiday event to provide a market for locals and visitors to enjoy our downtown, visit our business partners for a bit of Christmas cheer and purchase local arts and crafts.
Roger Brooks Webinars:
The MFDA holds these engaging webinar workshops in cooperation with Blue Mountain Community College to provide education about how to generate more business revenue. Contact us for more information about how to sign up for these learning opportunities. Past trainings have focused on little things stores can do to generate more business through their store front appearance and how to use entertainers to bring in more tourism.
We love our Old-Town business district, and we think you will too! So come celebrate with us the first Thursday of every month as we have activities and entertainment on North Main Street, along with food, and great business partners!
National Make A Difference Day is an annual community service event which is held on the fourth Saturday in October. The Milton-Freewater Downtown Alliance is proud to help organize local efforts each year in Milton-Freewater. In the past projects have included painting businesses, weed and trash clean up. We even have helped build The Gathering
