This summer, we had a play put on by the Pearl Damour Group and Shakespear Walla Walla about our community and town. The play was bilingal and performed at the Mac-Hi auditorium. There were six showings and a full house for most of them.
The Gathering Place:
In July of 2015, we completed the new creation of a new park in Milton-Freewater called the Gathering Place through the help of Pomegranate Center, out of Issaquah, WA. This project was a community effort led by 260+ volunteers of a multitude of ages in conjunction with the MFDA.
Make a Difference Day:
In October, the MFDA hosted our first Make a Difference Day with the LDS Church. We had over 700 volunteers work on 25 different community projects to beautify our town and work to improve public safety. Many of our volunteers were part of the two community service clubs at Mac-Hi or local churches.
